Do you know you can enjoy your Sunday Roast in this stylish restaurant?
Me neither until we booked in for the Sunday Roast experience that blew our mind away. We have been to Pasture for lunch before and there were quite interesting lunch options offered. However, their specialty actually is the meat dishes which many have praised highly online. So I'm here to reassure you that they do their meat fantastically and definitely a winner among most Sunday Roast spots.
I still remember it was packed that day, but we managed to get the earliest booking on 12PM before all tables booked up. Almost immediately we decided on the main dish with three kinds of meat at once (Pork, Beef and Lamb). I also ordered the unique rum concoction flavoured with chai syrup and chocolate dusting which resulted in this unique, dark, exotic and comforting taste all at once.

When the mains finally came, the presentation was amazing : all three slabs of meat at once with perfectly puffed up Yorkshire pudding on the side, some parsnip purees, and chopped cabbages. The mains also came with roast potatoes and spinach gratin separately.

Meat wise, I think the beef is quite good, the pork was quite tender but I loved the trimmings specifically, I think it just gave a nice crunchy texture to the whole plate. Lastly, I think the lamb was amazing, very moist well cooked, not dry at all and nicely seasoned. If I could pick my favourite, it would definitely be the lamb while interestingly the husband prefer the beef. Sides wise, I loved the spinal gratin, it was cheesy & perfectly seasoned. I may be bit partial here since I did not like parsnips nor cabbage. Lastly, let's talk about gravy, for me it was not exceptional since I would prefer mine to be thicker in consistency & richer in taste. All in all, it was a fantastic main course, we would definitely come back again for the mains.
After the main, we shall not forget to try out the desserts. We chose baked cheesecake & wanna cota to finish the meal. The cheesecake is quite decent, but I prefer the panda cota more. The tangy rhubarb complement the sweet panna cota perfectly.

In conclusion, it was an amazing Sunday Roast and we haven't even tried any appetiser yet! I will definitely recommend anyone to try all the meat options in the mains, it depends on your preference which one you prefer but the lamb (again!) is worth to try at least once. And please do try the cocktails as well, all the options are exciting especially since they use all local products so that is a plus point for visitors coming in from out of town.
